Deputy Director of MIDAP

He holds a degree in Biochemistry from the Universidad de Chile and a PhD in Cognitive Sciences from the École Polytechnique, France. He is Associate Professor at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile’s School of Psychology and specializes in the study of human experience from both an experimental and theoretical point of view. Based on this motivation, he works in two specific areas: the biological basis of subjectivity and the study of the stream of consciousness.

Presently, he is the Deputy Director of Research and Postgraduate Affairs of Universidad Católica’s Faculty of Psychology.

She is a Professor at the School of Psychology of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She obtained her Doctorate at the Free University of Berlin, in Germany. Her areas of research are processes of change in psychotherapy, depression, and the interaction between sociocultural conditions and mental health. He has been leader of numerous research projects in these areas, with funding obtained from the Millennium Science Initiative of the Ministry of Economy, Development and Tourism (ICM-Chile), the National Commission for Scientific and Technological Research (Conicyt- Chile) of the United Nations Development Program.

Dr. Krause has published an important number of scientific articles and some books on psychotherapy and psychosocial issues. She is a member of editorial committees of 6 international journals, and is currently Book Review Editor of the journal Psychotherapy Research. She has been Guest Editor in several journals, and is currently in charge of a special issue on research on the psychotherapeutic process of the journal Estudios de Psicología (Studies in Psychology). Between 2018 and 2019 she was president of the Society for Psychotherapy Research. She has also participated in the organization of several scientific events, including the Latin American and Chilean Congresses on Research in Psychotherapy.

Since 2017 he has been a member of the Superior Council of Technological Development of Conicyt. In July 2018 he assumed the one-year Presidency of the Society for Research in Psychotherapy (SPR).

Between 2011 and 2014 she was Director of the Millennium Nucleus “Psychological Intervention and Change in Depression”, predecessor of the Millennium Institute MIDAP, of which she was Director between 2014 and April 2019.

On April 29, 2019, she was appointed as the new President of the Council of the National Commission for Scientific and Technological Research (Conicyt) by the Minister of Science, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation, Andrés Couve. In this position, she leads the transformation of Conicyt into the Research and Development Agency and its transfer to the newly created ministry, scheduled for the end of this year.

Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist of the University of Chile. He is a member of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Chile at the Center for Reproductive Medicine and Integral Development of Adolescents (CEMERA). At the end of 2018 he assumed the Direction of the Millennium Nucleus to Improve the Mental Health of Adolescents and Youth (Imhay). She has a PhD in Psychotherapy from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and a PhD in Medicine from the University of Heidelberg in Germany (International Doctorate Program in Psychotherapy), a Master’s in Psychotherapy from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from the Universidad Diego Portales.

She is a Family Therapist of the Instituto Chileno de Terapia Familiar, Member of the Sociedad Chilena de Pediatría, Member of the Sociedad de Psiquiatría y Neurología de la Infancia y Adolescencia, and Member of the Society for Psychotherapy Research. Her lines of research are depression in adolescents, quality of life in adolescents and sexuality in adolescents.

Psychologist of the Gabriela Mistral University, Doctor in Psychology and Master in Clinical Psychology of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Professor of the Faculty of Psychology of the Diego Portales University and Director of the Center of Studies in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy (CEPPS) of the Faculty of Psychology of this house of studies.

His field of research includes psychotherapeutic processes, specifically the regulation of processes between patient and therapist. In addition, other areas of interest are: attachment in adulthood, processes of mentalization, crisis intervention and personality disorders. He is Clinical Supervisor in the Dynamic Unit of Psychotherapy in the Psychiatric Institute of Santiago and also has more than 25 years of experience in the area of clinical psychotherapy. Researcher in charge of the Fonis project “Adolescence and Suicide: Subjective Construction of the Suicidal Process in Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) Youth”.

Currently he is also researcher in charge of Conicyt’s REDES project “Red Internacional para la Investigación en Psicoterapia y Salud Mental en Diversidad Sexual y de Género” (International Network for Research in Psychotherapy and Mental Health in Sexual and Gender Diversity).

Psychologist and Graduate in Psychology from the University of Tarapacá. Master in Clinical Psychology, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. PhD. in Mental Health and Aging from University College London, England. She is currently an academic at the Andrés Bello University School of Nursing.

Her line of research focuses on three areas of psychogerontology: evaluation and improvement of psychosocial aspects in the elderly, implementation and evaluation of the effectiveness of psychosocial interventions aimed at improving the welfare of both those suffering from dementia and their family caregiver and psychotherapeutic aspects linked to clinical work with older adults.

Clinical Psychologist of the University of Chile, she is an Academician in the School of Psychology of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She holds a  PhD in Psychotherapy from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, a PhD from the University of Heidelberg, Germany and a Master’s Degree in Psychotherapy from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

Her areas of research consider parentality and early family relationships, with special interest in the influence of psychopathology on the quality of interactions and their transmission from parents to children. His studies consider dyadic and triadic family dynamics at a comprehensive and diagnostic level, as well as at an intervention and prevention level.

Since 2016 she has been Head of the Doctorate Program in Psychotherapy at the School of Psychology of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and since 2013 she has been Academic Director of the Diploma in Psychopathology of the Link: Diagnosis and Treatment, PUC. Since 2017 she is Academic Coordinator and Supervisor of the Perinatal Mental Health and Early Relationships Program at the San Joaquin Mental Health Unit, Red Christus UC.

Psychologist (Universidad de Concepción), Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and PhD in Psychology (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile). Her interests include understanding the development of well-being in children and adolescents and the way in which family conditions and contexts foster and/or hinder it. She is also deeply interested in understanding the interplay among family members and how such dynamics lead to their well-being. In addition, she seeks to understand what makes personal change possible, considering both psychotherapy itself and interventions intended to improve physical health.

Her competences include methodological aspects and the management of quantitative data. She is also familiar with a variety of analysis methods, ranging from the simple to the complex (for example, SEM and HLM). Currently, she has teaching and research roles in several research teams of Universidad del Desarrollo and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Chile, currently a member of the Senate and Deputy Director of the School of Medicine and formerly Director of the University Psychiatric Clinic at that University.

In the last 20 years, Dr. Rojas has been distinguished for participating in important research projects in mental health: from studies that demonstrated the importance of common mental disorders both in the general population and among primary health care consultants to research that proved the effectiveness of staggered programs for the treatment of depressed women and combined treatments for the treatment of postpartum depression in primary care clinics in our country.

On March 1, 2019, Dr. Rojas assumed the position of General Director of the Hospital Clínico Universidad de Chile.

Medical Technologist (Universidad de La Frontera). Master’s Degree and PhD in Pharmacy with a specialization in Clinical Analysis and Postdoctorate in Applied Molecular Biology (Universidad de São Paulo, Brazil).

He has been principal investigator, co-researcher, and tutor in more than 30 projects in the biotechnology and health areas. Member of the Scientific Board of Chimica Acta and associate editor of Biomedical Science. Representative for Chile of Wiener lab. Foundation. Full Professor, Director of the Doctoral Program of Sciences (Applied Cell Biology and Applied Molecular Biology Specializations) and Institutional Representative of the Academic Agreement for Doctoral Thesis Co-Supervision signed by Universidad de La Frontera and Universidad de Sao Paulo. Inventor of an anti-cavity toothpaste with a patent request lodged via the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT).

Doctor in Clinical Psychology and Psychopathology from Université Lumière-Lyon 2, France. She is an Associate Professor at the School of Psychology of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and Director of the Early Childhood Program at the same university. Her areas of specialization are pregnancy attachment, early mother-baby bonding, parentality, child development, and incidence of family and non-family caregivers.

Between 2011 and 2014 she was Deputy Director of the Millennium Nucleus “Psychological Intervention and Change in Depression”, predecessor of the Millennium Institute MIDAP, of which she was Deputy Director between 2014 and 2018.

In mid-August 2019 she assumed the Executive Direction of the new Center CUIDA created for the Investigation in Abuse and Early Adversity.

Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology (Universidad Central), Master’s Degree in Cognitive-Social Psychotherapy (Universidad de Barcelona), and PhD in Psychobiology (Universidad Complutense, Madrid). He has completed specialization programs in Affective Neuroscience (University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Laboratory for Affective Neuroscience) and in analysis through brain activation microstates using EEG measures (Harvard University’s Affective Neuroscience Laboratory). He also earned a Diploma in Cognitive Neuroscience Methods Using Dense Electrodes Array (Geodesics Inc., University of Oregon)

His lines of research concern dietary restriction and overfeeding, self-referential processing in schizophrenia, and affective neuroscience. Currently, he is the Director of Universidad del Desarrollo’s Attachment and Emotional Regulation Center (CARE) and an academic at the same institution.

Psychologist from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where she obtained her Doctorate in Psychology.

She has specialized in process-result research in psychotherapy. She was part of the Chilean Program of Change Research & Psychotherapy. She has also focused on the study of the interaction and mutual regulation of the participants in the psychotherapeutic process and has investigated these processes of interactive regulation in both their verbal and non-verbal manifestations. Likewise, he has specialized in the handling and application of qualitative methodologies in general, and for research in psychotherapy in particular. In the context of this interest, it is part of the group IC-Investigación Cualitativa whose purpose is to gather and generate a network of academic resources on this research methodology.

In addition, she is an academic and researcher at the Center for Studies in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy (CEPPS) of the Faculty of Psychology of the Diego Portales University, and a researcher responsible for a Conicyt Fondecyt project on the topic “Development of a comprehensive model of psychotherapy with LGBT patients: qualitative study of the experiences of patients and psychotherapists”.

In March 2019, she was distinguished with the Todo Mejora 2019 Foundation award in the Academic World category for her contributions during 2018 to the prevention of bullying and suicidal risk suffered by children, adolescents and young people discriminated against because of their sexual orientation, identity and gender expression.
